Last night, I pitched a new YA series idea to my publisher. She loved it! Now all I have to do is finish the series I’m working on, give my brain a bit of a break, go on a Rhyme book tour, then write a whole new world of characters… sounds pretty great.
My husband came home from work yesterday with a wedge of homemade gumdrop cake, a bag of carrots, a pound or two of string beans, and five onions. A customer with a very large garden wouldn’t let him go without giving him this lovely offering.
I love living in PEI.
Speaking of food, I have to make a grocery list at some point this morning because I seem to be down to basically just those vegetables and a few eggs, which is fine, but you can only do so much with yellow beans when you have a family of four large appetites.
Related to bare cupboards (the gumdrop cake didn’t last long), I made a batch of zucchini muffins around 5:30 this morning so they’ll be cooled off for lunch boxes. They’re starting to smell good.
Just call me the Muffin Mann.
I’m so happy that my #LegendOfRhyme buttons are on their way from Six Cent Press. I can’t wait to see them. That company is amazing to deal with. If you need buttons, or even if you don’t need buttons, you should use them. It’s so rare to be blown away by a company’s customer service these days that I just want to shout it from the rooftops!
Tonight I’m going to see Jesus Christ Superstar with my mom, sister, and uncle. Then for the rest of the weekend, I hope to be working on Ancient Fall. Ah, bliss.
Completely unrelated to anything, the Disney Gummy Bears intro song has been stuck in my head for days.
I miss the 90s.
Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?
xo
I don’t know. Do we have any fun plans for the weekend, mom?
