PEI School and Library tour starts January 8

January 7, 2015 / by JaimeLee / Leave a Comment

My publicity team at DigiWriting has been unbelievable. Elora of Stone is being promoted all over the place (by book marketing experts) while I’m working away on other things (like the other books in the series and my day job, etc.). It’s a nice system. I imagine it’s kind of what it might be like for my husband to come home from work to a clean house and a hot meal on the table. Things magically happening in the background ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyway, one of the major things DigiWriting has been doing for me, has been organizing a school and library tour here in PEI. We’re sticking mostly to locations close to home now, because winter weather is so unpredictable, but in the spring I’ll be trying to head to other parts of the province and hopefully, throughout Atlantic Canada.

Signing books is very fun.

The first stop on my school tour is Belfast Consolidated. I’ll be visiting there tomorrow to read a little, to answer questions about author stuff, and students will be able to purchase signed copies of the book. I’m really looking forward to it!

It’s a little surreal, visiting schools, because I remember being about 8 years old when Deirdre Kessler visited us at Rollo Bay Consolidated to read from her book, Lobster in my Pocket. That visit gave me concrete proof that authors are people, and I could grow up to be one too. (An author, not a people. You know what I mean.)

If you’re interested in seeing when I’ll be at a school or library near you, check out my Amazon Author page and scroll down to the bottom, where all of that information is kept up-to-date.

See you tomorrow, Belfast!
