Spring and things

March 26, 2017 / by JaimeLee / 1 Comment

Why, hello there!

(This is where we glaze over the fact that I haven’t updated my blog since November.)

For any of you waiting for the next book in the Legend of Rhyme series, you’ll be happy to know that instead of writing blog posts, I’ve been writing novels.

Book #5… Blood and Stars… will be released in September. (Yay!)

Speaking of that labor of love, this morning, I’ve been tackling the final round of edits on that manuscript before layout and all of those other fun things take place for the story to magically turn into an actual book. (Technically, I’m procrastinating on that and taking an hour a moment to update my blog.)

Because I’ve been pretty quiet around here, I guess I should give you an update on what’s happening with me. Assuming you’re interested.

  • I discovered last week that Indigo Charlottetown and Coles Summerside were both sold out of Elora of Stone and Into Coraira. Both stores are now freshly stocked! Thank you for buying my books, guys! And feel free to sell the stores out again.
  • I’m participating in Reading Town PEI again this year, which will be fun! (If you’d like me to visit your school, this is a great chance!)
  • Writing is underway on #booksix which, I *think* is scheduled for a 2018 spring release.
  • I signed up for the NYC Midnight Screenwriting Challenge again which probably wasn’t very wise, because I don’t have time for it. But it is SO much fun.
  • I have an author appearance booked for April 15th at Owl’s Hollow in Charlottetown. I’ll bring colouring pages.
  • I watched a really good movie last week. It’s called The Impossible. It’s on Netflix.
  • I have a new ghostwriting project that I’m really excited about. But I can’t tell you anything about it.
  • I ate some excellent sushi yesterday with my beloved friend slash editor, Christine. It was soooooooooo good. So, so good.
  • I found a book that I thought I lost. (Story by Robert McKee.) It was under the couch.

This is going a bit downhill now, so I think I’ll cap things off by thanking you for being interested in what’s going on with me. And now I have to go and work on that book you’re waiting for! Wish me luck.
